ENGLISH CONVERSATION Practice with Oxford Language Lounge every Tuesday at 8pm!

STRUCTURE and SCHEDULE:

Meeting every TUESDAY on the upstairs floor of the Cape of Good Hope pub from 8pm onwards (you can arrive anytime) for free conversation English conversation practice with native and non-native English speakers. We may end by 10pm or later. You will also find tables for other language practice e.g. French/German/Spanish/Italian/Japanese/Russian etc.

It is advertised as free but there is a suggested and requested £1 donation. All costs and money received is published under a file called 'Money' on www.oxford-language-lounge.info website. Running these events and websites takes time and money so donations are please encouraged!

This website is used to schedule events and attendance and you are welcome to publish community news here under 'Discussions' on this website or to join our facebook page to befriend others and share news and advice on either living and studying in Oxford or learning and teaching English. 'Learn English in Oxford' facebook page or our language exchange facebook pages, titled, 'Oxford Language Lounge'.

There are also weekly English conversation practice meetings from 5-6pm on Thursdays, upstairs at The Coffee Republic on George Street. We sometimes will go for drinks or a meal out after 6pm too.

OXFORD LANGUAGE LOUNGE GROUP is usually attended by about 30 plus people and common languages spoken include European languages plus English Japanese. We have tables for each language and then you can just sit down at whichever table you like and make conversation with whoever's sitting there. Occasionally we also schedule international parties and meals out-please see the events calendar.

INTRODUCING 'I Love Oxford CARD' & 'I Love Oxford Walking Tours':

I Love Oxford Walking Tours was established in Oxford in spring 2011 and offers guided historical walking tours departing outside Broad Street Oxfam shop and the Oxford Tourist Information Office at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm. We also sell a pub tour on Saturday nights from 8pm which departs however from outside Saxon Tower and KFC on Cornmarket street. The pub tour requires advance resevration. Finally, we schedule regular social and international not-for-profit events in conjunction with www.OxfordNightsOut.com.

On a final note, you can use your tour ticket or flyer to save money at over 30 local businesses- wherever you see 'I Love Oxford' postcards or posters in shop, cafe or tourist attraction windows!

1) There is no need to Book in advance onto A Guided Walking Tour. However, you can try to text or call me on 07955 482637. If I am leading a tour when you call, I may not call back or pick up immediately.

2) To Contact Members, visit > 'All Members' then >Click on a member's profile page. Send them a public 'Greeting' (like posting a facebook wall message) or click on 'Mail' to send them a message, confidentially and directly to their registered email inbox.

3) To Create an Event Listing or Invitation, visit 'Home' then > 'Lets' > then enter the event details descriptions- as asked for by website. Note that when you create an event invite, it will ask you, 'Do you want to email to members?'. I would prefer you DO NOT EMAIL as it is my preference that you post the event on our site without sending event news by mailing list. If you send me a greeting and request to use the mailing list, I will then decide on whether or not to send out your event news by mailing list too.
